It is a meeting with the children in a setting which recalls the village. The griot tells them the legends of the past about the feats of the great kings, the great warriors, or about the strength or cunning of some animals. In the old days, in the villages, under the tree, around the fire, old men told similar stories to allow their descendants to get all the good lessons from life.
