Sira Diop, an inexhaustible river

Out of the normal school for young girls in Rufisque (Senegal), Mrs Sira Diop, schoolteacher, fought to gather the African women in an association in 1958 to defend their rights and for them to have their autonomy. She is the first Malian woman with a bachelor degree. She also fought for the independence of Mali alongside her male colleagues.
